Sensory Garden

A fantastic project begun this year. A sensory garden being built for an 8 year old tetraplegic boy living in Bingham. Funding for the materials has been enhanced by donations from other Lions clubs but the work is being done by our our own 'green fingered' members
over many weekends. The picture above is how the garden was when the work started. Work is not yet complete but these photos show the 'Lions at Work'. Hopefully early next year, when the hot-tub is installed we can add some photos of the completed garden. First of all sheds had to be moved but Brian and John have quickly grasped the idea of leaning on shovels in typical workmen style.
Always quick to be in tune with nature, a spider is rescued and moved to a safer environment.
Vernon's breakfast - part of his calorie controlled diet, some of which he's spilt down his vest.
A project requiring organisation, timing and teamwork. Who chose these 3? Not a good idea to hold nails or screws in your mouth Tony!
